Privacy Policy

Apartment Finder SF (“the service”) is a tool that helps renters find apartments in San Francisco. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Account info from Google sign-in: your email address and display name. We do not receive your Google password.
• Apartment search preferences: the criteria you share with our agent during onboarding (move-in date, budget, bedroom count, neighborhoods, walk-to anchors, building exclusions, and similar).
• Conversation history: messages you exchange with the onboarding agent, retained so the agent can continue the conversation across sessions.
• Delivery records:which apartment listings have already been emailed to you, so we don't repeat them.

How we use it

• Match SF apartment listings against your criteria and email you a digest of new matches.
• Resume your conversation with the agent on later visits.
• Improve the service's match quality.

We do not sell your data and we do not show you ads.

Third parties we use

The service runs on infrastructure and APIs provided by other companies, each of which has its own privacy policy:

• Google: sign-in (OAuth) only. We receive your email and name.
• Supabase: authentication and database storage.
• Vercel: hosts the web app.
• Fly.io: hosts the backend API and scheduled jobs.
• OpenAI:powers the onboarding agent that interprets your criteria. Messages you send to the agent are processed by OpenAI's API.
• Resend: delivers your daily digest emails.
• Apify: used for fetching publicly listed apartment data from third-party real-estate websites. We do not share your personal data with Apify.

Retention

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us (see below). We will delete your account, profile, conversation history, and delivery records within 14 days of a verified request.

Cookies

We use a session cookie from Supabase to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Children

The service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Your choices

• Update your criteria at any time through the in-app chat.
• Unsubscribe from emails using the link in any digest.
• Request a copy of your data or full account deletion by emailing the address below.
